Company HistoryA long respected and established business, Craddocks has been operating a car storage business from Christchurch International Airport since 1986.In the early days the car storage business was part of Craddocks Airport Service Station. This was the Caltex site located on Memorial Ave just before the airport. This was run by Bill Craddock and his family. In those early days the fuel and workshop were the major part of the business. It was not long however before the small number of sheds out the back filled up with cars and continued to fill as more and more people travelled. In 1990 Paul Whiting joined the business and started to concentrate on looking after the car storage at the garage. As the storage side of the business expanded we also ran out of space so started to plan a new company and look for a new site. In April 2002 under a new company structure and image we shifted to a new purpose built, high security facility at Christchurch International Airport. Paul and his wife Maree (Bill's daughter) have run the business from the new site at 20 Ron Guthrey Rd since the move and have gone through some large changes in that time. We look forward to seeing you at Craddocks some time soon. |
